EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon Ducks are feeling sweet again.
A year after making the first Sweet Sixteen appearance in school history, the UO women's basketball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament's third round again after Sunday's 101-73 second-round win over Minnesota in Matthew Knight Arena. The No. 2 seed Ducks knocked off No. 15 seed Seattle and then the 10th-seeded Gophers to reach this year's Sweet Sixteen.
Oregon (32-4) advanced to face the winner of Monday's game between No. 3 Ohio State and No. 11 Central Michigan. The Ducks are in the Spokane Regional, and will play Saturday at Spokane Arena.
