No matter the situation, Justin Herbert never wants to be caught unprepared.
On the football field, he proved a quick study at Oregon, two years ago becoming the first true freshman to start for the Ducks at quarterback since 1983. Herbert enters his junior season this fall already having become the fastest player in school history to reach 3,000 career passing yards.
Herbert's studious nature is an asset in the classroom as well, of course. A biology major, he was named first-team academic all-American last fall, when he recorded a 4.08 grade-point average.
Whether reading defenses or reading a textbook, Herbert thrives thanks to his preparation.
