CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. – The No. 5 ranked Oregon softball team used two homer and a great outing by pitcher Miranda Elish to defeat No. 18 Oklahoma State, 4-1, on Friday morning to open play at the Mary Nutter Classic.
The Ducks (10-1) improved to 2-1 against top-25 teams this season with three more games against ranked teams coming up this weekend in the desert.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Mia Camuso got things started for the Ducks with a two-out solo homer to right in the bottom of the second inning. Oregon had two more two-out hits in the second but didn't score again after the solo shot.
