UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The No. 10 ranked Oregon volleyball team battled from start to finish but fell short against No. 4 Penn State, 25-21, 29-27, 25-19, on Saturday night at Rec Hall in the final match of the 2019 Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge.
How it Happened: Penn State (6-1) came out swinging in front of a home crowd of 3,879, jumping out to an 11-5 lead and forcing Oregon into an early timeout. The Ducks (2-3) used an 8-3 run to get back within two, 21-91, but the Nittany Lions kept Oregon from scoring consecutive points down the stretch to win, 25-21, and take a 1-0 lead.
