EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has been named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season and sixth time in his career, the conference announced on Monday.
Nix was also named a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award on Monday, given to the most outstanding player in college football. Nix is one of 17 semifinalists, and one of three from the Pac-12 along with Michael Penix Jr. (Washington) and Caleb Williams (USC).
Nix continued to strengthen his Heisman Trophy resume last week while outdueling Williams – the reigning Heisman winner – in a 36-27 Oregon win.
