Former Oregon Ducks defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti joined me on the Bald Faced Truth radio show (12-3p on 102.9-FM and 750-AM), and said the key indicators of problems with Mark Helfrich's football program came a couple of seasons ago.
"One thing that concerned me way back when... when Oregon went to the fifth-year senior as a quarterback," Aliotti said. "That concerned me. It worked out with Vernon Adams but not as good with (Dakota) Prukop. To me, that was the first sign. I didn't like that. A program like Oregon who had Marcus Mariota, something wasn't right with either recruitment or evaluation.
