Former Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart has signed an one day contract with the Carolina Panthers to retire from the NFL.
Stewart was a Duck from 2005-2007. He was a former five star recruit that is currently the third all time highest ranked signee ever for the program. He finished his Ducks career with 516 carries for 2,891 yards and 27 touchdowns. One could say that he started the trend of dominant running backs in Ducks recent history.
He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers with the 13th overall selection in the 2008 draft.
