Former Oregon Duck and New Orleans Saints stalwart center Max Unger has surprisingly decided to retire from the NFL this afternoon at the age of 32.
The Hawaii native was with the Ducks from 2005 to 2008 before continuing his football career in the Pacific Northwest with the Seattle Seahawks as a second round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. He is the fourth highest ever drafted offensive lineman from Oregon in its history.
He’s a 10 year NFL veteran that had a remarkable streak of 130 starts of a possible 130 games played.
