Former Oregon offensive lineman Tyrell Crosby is finally on his way to the NFL.
Crosby, a four-year player at Oregon, was taken by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Friday.
He was the 153rd overall pick.
Crosby was the second Duck selected in the draft and Oregon's first offensive lineman selected since Hroniss Grasu was selected by Chicago in the third round of the 2015 draft.
Crosby had to wait longer than expected to find his new home. Projected by some as high as the first round and most in the second or third, Crosby's slide into the fifth round caught many by surprise.
