As the Oregon volleyball team flocked back to Eugene to report for the start of the 2018 season on Tuesday, a new addition to the Ducks' locker room, though small, loomed large amid the recently renovated team room and piles of Nike gear for the upcoming year.
In the corner of the oval shaped locker room sat a newly constructed, smaller wooden locker, decked out with the same name plaque and Duck swag as the 15 surrounding it. In it hung a small, yellow, No. 22 Oregon jersey.
It's new owner, though only 8-years-old and three feet, eight inches in stature, brings a confidence and personality to the Ducks that is larger than life.
