EUGENE -- Malik Young walked through the lobby of Oregon's Hatfield-Dowlin Complex on Monday morning, headphones in his ears and slides on his feet.
He didn't burst out of a three-point stance. Didn't shed the block of an oncoming blocker, either. All he did was shuffle out of the front door -- Monday will be players' off day throughout the season -- and yet the reason why Oregon wanted to add the former Missouri commit was clear: Young is massive. And at 6-foot-2, 301 pounds, he adds bulk to a defensive line that was getting thin.
Young, a transfer from Eastern Arizona College, joined Oregon's roster Thursday.
