EUGENE, Ore. – From Northwestern to Syracuse to North Carolina, Katrina Dowd’s résumé in collegiate lacrosse as a player and coach features some of the most elite programs in the country.
If all goes as planned for Dowd, someday Oregon women’s lacrosse will carve out a place for itself in that pantheon.
Dowd was introduced Monday as the Ducks’ new head coach, after being hired last week. A three-time national champion as a player at Northwestern, Dowd spent the last four seasons as an assistant at North Carolina, where she helped the Tar Heels win NCAA titles in both 2013 and 2016.
