One day after Oregon officially announced contract extensions for assistant football coaches Jim Leavitt, Marcus Arroyo and Joe Salave'a, details of their new deals were released Tuesday through a public records request.
Leavitt, Oregon's defensive coordinator, will earn a guaranteed $1.7 million annually as part of a four-year extension that expires Jan. 31, 2022, a total that was previously reported Sunday by The Oregonian/OregonLive and Sports Illustrated. He signed the extension Sunday. He earned $1.15 million this season, his first in Eugene.
Should Leavitt leave Oregon before Jan. 31, 2019, he would owe the university a $500,000 buyout.
