The Oregon Ducks had a very workman-like first half leading by as many as 10, but would see the lead cut to 5 points by the St. Joseph’s Hawks leading into halftime. The second half was a different story for Oregon compared to the blowout against Holy Cross on Thursday night. St. Joseph’s showed fight and tied the game at 45. In the end it was the Oregon that was able to escape with free throws to set a date with Duke in the Sweet 16.
Tyler Dorsey had big shots all night, the biggest being the final two of the night to put the Oregon Ducks up five points with under 10 seconds to go.
