With the college football regular season winding to a close, many staffs around the country will soon be balancing bowl game preparation and making a late recruiting push for the early signing period beginning December 19.
For the Oregon Ducks, however, that balancing act may be a little easier, as Mario Cristobal and his staff have already secured 22 commitments.
So, when the "contact period" of the NCAA recruiting calendar began Sunday, many of the coaches traveled to the homes of current commits to shore up the class they have already secured.
One of the players who received an early in-home visit was 247Sports four-star wide receiver Mycah Pittman, who chose Oregon in July over offers from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M, USC, Washington and others.
