LOS ANGELES – Four Ducks are in scoring position through the first day of the Pac-12 Combined Events Championships, Saturday at Drake Stadium on the campus of UCLA.
Oregon has three entries in the decathlon, including three-time reigning champion Dakotah Keys who sits in fourth through five events with 3,965 points. But Keys is not the Ducks’ top scorer after the first day as Mitch Modin is one spot ahead in third place with 3,984 points. Freshman Joe Delgado is eighth with 3,692 points in a tight group from 6th-10th separated by just over 50 points.
