Oregon sophomore Mitch Modin set personal records in four events to take the first-day lead in the decathlon competition Thursday in the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field.
Modin exited the first day with 4,100 points, putting him just ahead of UO All-American Dakotah Keys, second with 4,017 points.
UO freshman Ashlee Moore leads the heptathlon after the first day with 3,361 points.
The decathlon and heptathlon competition concludes Friday.
