Three-time finalist Edward Cheserek did not make the cut Thursday when the men's finalists for The Bowerman were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association.
Cheserek won 17 NCAA titles in his four seasons with the Ducks, but a lower back injury kept him from adding to that total at this year's NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The three finalists are Tennessee sprinter Christian Coleman, Texas A&M sprinter Fred Kerley and Texas A&M decathlete Lindon Victor.
The Bowerman is awarded annually to college track & field's top male athlete and top female athlete.
