EUGENE, Ore. — Verone McKinley III joined Kayvon Thibodeaux as a 2021 consensus all-American on Tuesday as both Ducks were named to the Sporting News All-America first team.
A player is recognized as a consensus all-American after being named to the first team by at least half of the five official selectors – the Walter Camp Football Foundation (WCFF), Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), Associated Press (AP), Sporting News, and American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
McKinley has now earned first-team all-America honors by the WCFF, AP, and Sporting News, while also landing on the FWAA second team.
