Max Williams, 4-star CB, down to final 5, deciding Saturday; Oregon Ducks among finalists

The Oregon Ducks defense has taken a step forward in recent years under the tutelage of defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt, but the positive results don't end there.

Oregon's 21-man recruiting class currently ranks No. 4 in the nation, and consists of 10 players on the defensive side of the ball, highlighted by four-star prospects in cornerbacks MyKael Wright and Elijah Blades, linebackers Mase Funa and Ge'mon Eaford, safety Jeremiah Criddell and defensive tackle Keyon Ware-Hudson.

The Ducks hope to add yet another major prospect into the fold this weekend, as Under Armour All-American defensive back Max Williams announced Monday that he is down to a final five of Louisville, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC and Utah and make his college decision Saturday:

While Oregon is certainly in the mix for the 5-foot-8, 173-pound defensive back, it is not the favorite.
