EUGENE, Ore. — The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced on Monday morning that Amy Matsuoka and Sofie Kibsgaard Nielsen of the Oregon women's golf team have earned the prestigious honor of being named WGCA All-American Scholars.
A total of 1,401 women's collegiate golfers were selected to the All-American Scholar Team, the criteria for which are among the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA required is 3.50.
Matsuoka becomes just the third Duck ever to earn WGCA All-American Scholar honors in each of her four seasons, joining Petra Salko and Therese Wenslow.
