EUGENE -- Mario Cristobal made his first outside assistant-coaching hire as Oregon's coach Thursday, and believes more staffers will be in place soon.
Cristobal could have "close" to his full coaching staff hired by the second national signing period in February, he told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
"I think people are always in a hurry, and to me it's most important to make sure it's the right hire," he said. "If it's the right hire you don't have to worry about it. If it's the wrong hire you spend the next several years worrying. There are so many unbelievable candidates that have reached out to be part of this and it's not surprising.
