Mario Cristobal feels 'good' about Oregon linebacker Kaulana Apelu, expects him to play vs. Arizona

EUGENE -- Kaulana Apelu has been limited during Oregon's practices this week, but the Ducks senior linebacker is still expected to play against Arizona.

Oregon coach Mario Cristobal said he felt "good" about Apelu playing against the Wildcats on Saturday (7:30 p.m., ESPN).

Apelu also expressed optimism about playing and was not noticeably favoring a specific injury during practice Tuesday or Wednesday, when he was still engaged and expressing support and pointers to teammates during an early special teams drill.

Oregon's linebacker corps is already being tested this week with the loss of top backup Isaac Slade-Matautia for several weeks due to a shoulder injury.
