Last week was not a good one for the Tennessee Titans and Quarterback Marcus Mariota. The former Oregon Football Signal Caller was pulled down hard landing on his shoulder and elbow. The player in him stayed in the game and went on to throw back to back interceptions in a loss to the Dolphins.
Miami Defensive Lineman William Hayes was the player who hit Mariota on the play. On Wednesday, the National Football League had a chance to review the play and said it was illegal. Hayes should have been penalized on the play. As it stands now, it does not matter much, aside from an injury that could linger.
