EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon third baseman Jenna Lilley has been named one of 25 finalists for the National Fastpitch Coaches Association freshman of the year award, the organization announced on Thursday.
Lilley is one of three candidates from the Pac-12 to make the cut, joining Cal’s Jazmyn Jackson and Washington’s Taylor Van Zee.
Despite being a rookie, Lilley is the only player on the Oregon roster to start and play in all 40 games this year.
The North Canton, Ohio, native is hitting .402 on the season and leads the No. 1 ranked Ducks with 42 runs scored and 10 doubles.
