Kyle Ford, 5-star WR, cuts list to 5; Oregon Ducks in mix

Entering the 2019 recruiting cycle, the Oregon Ducks had a desperate need at the wide receiver position, a fact that has been painfully obvious on the field this fall.

It may not yet be of help during Friday's Civil War, but Oregon has largely addressed this need on the recruiting trail.

The Ducks have four wide receiver commitments, including top-100 prospects Mycah Pittman and Lance Wilhoite, but could add a fifth should 247Sports five-star wide receiver Kyle Ford pick Oregon.

Mario Cristobal and his coaching staff took a step closer toward that aim Sunday, as the 6-foot-2, 212-pound pass-catcher, out of Orange Lutheran High School (Orange, CA), announced a top five of Colorado, Michigan, Oregon, USC and Washington:

Long rumored to be a heavy USC lean, Ford's recruitment has taken an interesting twist as the Trojans have faltered this season, and Clay Helton's days with the program appear numbered.
