Katie Rainsberger and Lilli Burdon lead exodus from the Oregon Ducks' track program

Four of the Oregon Ducks' top underclass distance runners are leaving the program.

Lilli Burdon, Katie Rainsberger, Tanner Anderson and Mick Stanovsek have been granted their release and will transfer. The news first was reported by the Register-Guard.

Rainsberger's fourth-place finish in the 2016 NCAA Cross Country Championships led the Ducks to the national title. She scored in the 2017 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships before being hurt for much of the 2018 track seasons. She is a junior.

Burdon was third in the 5,000 meters at last spring's NCAA Outdoor Championships. She will be a junior in the upcoming cross country season and a senior in track.
