Call it short-lived excitement for the Oregon Ducks men's basketball program.
Earlier this week, Oregon made the final four for 247Sports five-star small forward Kahlil Whitney.
But the battle for his services didn't last long.
On Wednesday, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound wing, out of Roselle, New Jersey, announced his commitment to the Kentucky Wildcats:

Considering Whitney was considered a heavy Kentucky lean upon announcing his top four, the decision is not a significant blow for Dana Altman's 2019 recruiting efforts.
