The former Oregon guard has been tearing it up in the summer league, and the Pacers have noticed.
Joseph Young may not have been a first round draft pick, but he sure is playing that way. The Pacers have taken note of his impressive scoring ability and have rewarded him in a huge way. On Monday, Young and the Pacers agreed to a 4-year rookie deal worth $4 million-plus. The first two years of the deal are guaranteed.
In four games with the Indiana Pacers in the NBA Summer League, Young averaged 22.5 points per game, (which lead the Orlando league) while shooting 51 percent from the field and 45 percent from beyond the arc.
