EUGENE - Jordon Scott, the Oregon Ducks' 329-pound run-clogger, likes Stanford's approach to offensive football.
"The thing about their offense is they want to run at you," Scott says. "They know that you know their plays."
Ready or not, here they come.
"My type of football," he says. "I like physical, downhill football, and that is what they are.
It plays into Scott's skill set. The sophomore nose tackle's job is to control the gaps on either side of the center and tie up as many blockers as he can.
He doesn't need to make a tackle or sack the quarterback as long as he frees up UO play-makers such as Jalen Jelks, Troy Dye and Justin Hollins for clean shots at the ball carrier.
