When Willie Taggart was hired as the Oregon Ducks head football coach, he made it clear that he was going to make in-state recruiting a priority.
Then, he took his first recruiting visit to Hawaii, seemingly a signal that, "The Aloha State" would also become a key focus.
On Saturday, Taggart delivered, as Rivals four-star linebacker Isaac Slade-Matautia announced his commitment to Oregon over Nebraska during the fourth quarter of the Polynesian Bowl:

His commitment marked the second pledge during the game for Oregon, as coveted three-star defensive tackle Austin Faoliu selected the Ducks earlier in the third quarter.
