Glendale, Arizona - The Oregon Ducks once again lost the turnover battle—this time 4 to 0— and in turn lost their first ever contest between Iowa State. After playing in their first Conference Championship game, quarterback Purdy and the Iowa State Cyclones entered the contest looking to win in their first-ever New Year’s Six game. Oregon, on the other hand, looked to add to their 2-0 Fiesta Bowl record, which consisted of the 2002 victory over Colorado and the 2013 victory over Kansas State.
Coach Cristobal went with the two quarterback approach with Tyler Shough (7-of-9 for 78 yards) and Anthony Brown Jr.
