BOULDER, Colo. — Two days after stifling defense led to easy baskets in a win at Utah, the No. 3 Oregon women's basketball team used a similar formula Saturday to beat Colorado, 101-53, before 3,669 fans at the CU Events Center.
Sabrina Ionecu recorded her NCAA-record 23rd career triple-double in just three quarters, and the Ducks used their defense and transition offense to break the game open early. After the game, Oregon boarded a charter flight to the East Coast, before playing at No. 4 Connecticut on Monday.
"I was really proud of the team this weekend; we had every reason to look ahead," UO coach Kelly Graves said.
