After another season of domination, Sabrina Ionescu has been honored with her second consecutive PAC-12 Player of the Year award. The junior averaged 19.5 points, 8.1 assists, and 7.2 rebounds. And against USC, Ionescu broke the single-season triple-double record with her seventh of the year.
Perhaps she should change her jersey to 17 as it appears to be her lucky number. Ionescu has an NCAA-record 17 career triple-doubles, and broke the PAC-12 record for single-game free throw percentage (17-of-17) as well as the PAC-12 single-game assist record (17).
Ionescu still has the potential to add to her legacy with the PAC-12 Tournament and NCAA Tournament ahead.
