On Tuesday, the eve of signing day, Mario Cristobal wasn’t yet able to exhale.
“I can’t tell you,” UO’s coach said, “the last time I’ve been away from my phone for more than 30 seconds.”
At the close of the wildest recruiting year in program history, there has certainly been much to discuss.
Just a few months ago, Oregon was rated by some services as having the nation’s No. 1 class, which was uncharted territory for a program whose previous high was 11th, in 2011.
