Oregon Ducks sophomore Sabrina Ionescu on Monday became the first player in program history to earn first-team AP All-America honors.
Joining Ionescu on the AP's first team were South Carolina's A'ja Wilson, Connecticut's Katie Lou Samuelso, Louisville's Asia Durr and Mississippi State's Victoria Vivians.
Ionescu, a 5-foot-11 guard from Walnut Creek, California, is adding to her accolades. She earned Pac-12 player of the year honors this season after averaging a conference-leading 19.5 points and 7.9 assists.
She has also grabbed 6.8 rebounds and owns the NCAA's career triple-double record, with 10; her latest came in a first-round NCAA Tournament victory, and was one rebound away from yet another in Oregon's Sweet 16 victory over Central Michigan on Saturday.
