When the season began, it appeared possible the Oregon women's team could score as many as 100 points at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which begin Wednesday at Hayward Field. A season-ending hamstring injury to sprinter Hannah Cunliffe and the inability of a UO 4x100 relay that had set the collegiate record to get through regional qualifying has lowered projections of Oregon's total team points.
Even so, the Ducks remain heavily favored to win the title convincingly. Pictured sprinters (from left to right) Ariana Washington, Deajah Stevens and Makenzie Dunmore are three reasons why. According to projections from Track & Field News, the Ducks should take the following route to the women's team championship.
