When Arizona State University hired Herm Edwards as its next football coach, there were widespread concerns about his ability to run a college football program after being out of the collegiate level since the late 1980's.
So far, he's done little to quell those concerns.
On Wednesday's "Golic and Wingo Show" on ESPN radio Wednesday morning, Edwards expressed surprise by some of the more basic elements of modern recruiting.
"Where recruiting has gone... Mike, this is almost like professional football when it comes to recruiting kids and evaluating these guys," he said.
