EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon juniors Justin Herbert and Calvin Throckmorton were named to the Pac-12 Conference All-Academic first team Monday, while junior Gary Baker was named second-team and 12 other Ducks' earned honorable mention recognition.
Throckmorton's first-team honor is his third straight while Herbert has earned back-to-back first-team accolades. Herbert, a quarterback from Eugene, has a 4.06 grade-point average in biology. Throckmorton, an offensive lineman from Bellevue, Wash., has a 3.84 grade-point average in human physiology.
A three-year starter, Herbert helped lead Oregon to an 8-4 record and a berth in the Redbox Bowl.
