FORT WORTH, Texas – Coming of his seventh performance of the season with multiple touchdown passes, Oregon junior quarterback Justin Herbert was named one of 16 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award Wednesday morning.
The Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award is presented annually to the best college quarterback, and is the nation's oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award.
Herbert's streak of 24 consecutive games with a TD pass is the longest in the nation, as the Eugene, Ore., product has already been named a Maxwell Award semifinalist and is on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and Manning Award Watch List.
