Herbert a semifinalist for Maxwell Award

EUGENE, Ore. – For the second time in his career, Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert is a semifinalist for the Maxwell Award which is given to the college player of the year.

Herbert, who was also a semifinalist last season, has led the Ducks to a 7-1 record and a No. 7 ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The Oregon signal caller has completed 179-of-262 passes for 2,104 yards and 21 touchdowns with just one interception this season. He is tied for eighth nationally in TD passes and currently has a streak of 131 passes without an interception.
