EUGENE, Ore. — Former Missouri offensive coordinator David Yost has joined Mark Helfrich’s staff as quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator, Oregon’s fourth-year head coach announced Wednesday.
A 21-year veteran of the collegiate coaching ranks, including 16 under the tutelage of head coach Gary Pinkel at both Toledo and Mizzou, and the last three as an assistant to Mike Leach at Washington State, Yost is regarded as one of the top developers of quarterback talent in the game.
“We are very excited to welcome David Yost to the Oregon football family,” Helfrich said. “He brings a wealth of experience as a QB coach and offensive coordinator, success as a national recruiter, and is an intelligent, dedicated family man.
