EUGENE, Ore. – Ruthy Hebard has been named the Pac-12 player of the week after a pair of dominant performances in Oregon's sweep of the L.A. schools over the weekend, the conference announced on Monday.
Hebard posted back-to-back double-doubles in Southern California while averaging 26.0 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in the Ducks' blowout wins over No. 7 UCLA and USC. The senior forward erupted for 30 points and 17 rebounds against the Bruins before following that up with 22 points and 10 rebounds on Sunday against the Women of Troy.
The Fairbanks, Alaska, native scored 30-plus points for the team-leading third time this season and fifth in her career on Friday in Pauley Pavilion, and her back-to-back 20-plus point showings give her five in the last seven games and a team-best 10 this season.
