EUGENE, Ore. – Senior center Jake Hanson was named to the Rimington Trophy watch list Friday by the Rimington Trophy Committee. Hanson has been on the watch list for the award which honors the nation's top center each of the last three years.
The three-year starter has not allowed a sack in 2,739 career snaps while starting 37 of 38 games since 2016. His streak of 34 consecutive starts at center was snapped at Utah in 2018, due to a personal foul penalty the previous game.
Hanson finished 2018 as the second-highest graded center in the Pac-12 by Pro Football Focus and the top-graded pass-blocking interior lineman in the conference.
