Greg Johnson, nation's No. 1 athlete, sets Oregon Ducks official visit

Under new head coach Willie Taggart, the Oregon Ducks have been aggressive pursuing some of the nation's top playmakers.

And after decommitting from the Arizona Wildcats in early December, Augustus Hawkins High School star Greg Johnson looked like a prime target.

As it turns out, those suspicions proved correct.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Los Angeles playmaker, rated the nation's No. 1 athlete in 247Sports composite rankings, learned his scholarship offer from the previous staff held up and scheduled an official visit for January 20.

According to Land of 10, Johnson is considering Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon and USC.
