Two golfers whose victories kick-started stellar years will defend their titles when the 106th Oregon Amateur begins Monday at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha.
Gigi Stoll, a recent graduate of Beaverton High School, will defend her women's championship when the tournament is played on the Reserve's North course. Thomas Lim, who just completed his sophomore year at the University of Oregon, will try to repeat in the men's tournament.
The tournaments begin with two days of stroke play to reduce the field to 32 women and 64 men for match play, which begins Wednesday.
