EUGENE, Ore. – A part of five of the most successful seasons in program history and recent recipient of her master's degree, Lydia Giomi was named the women's winner of the Pac-12's Tom Hansen Medal at Oregon on Wednesday by the conference.
This marks the second straight year that the women's recipient of the Hansen Medal at UO has come from the basketball program, after Satou Sabally earned the honor last season. Giomi is the sixth player in program history to receive the award that is given to one male and one female student-athlete at each school who displays outstanding achievement in academics, athletics and leadership (Satou Sabally - 2020, Amanda Johnson – 2012, Cathrine Kraayeveld – 2005, Arianne Boyer – 1997, Lauri Landerholm – 1987).
