The day before the Oregon Ducks shocked the college basketball world by upsetting No. 1 seed Kansas in Kansas City, Oregon play-by-play man Jerry Allen turned nostalgic.
What if Oregon actually won, Allen was asked.
The voice of the Ducks took a moment to think about the question. Over his 30 years at Oregon, the Ducks win over Oregon State in the 2010 Civil War, the game that sent the Ducks to the national championship game, has long been the highlight.
"One-hundred and fourteen years they've waited," an emotional Allen broadcast. "10 seconds left on the clock, and Oregon is going to play for in the national championship game, two, one, it's official!
