Galen Rupp tunes up for Chicago by winning Philadelphia Rock n Roll Philadelphia Half

Galen Rupp made his final tuneup for the Chicago Marathon a success on Sunday in Philadelphia.

Rupp won the Philadelphia Rock n Roll Half Marathon in 1 hour, 2 minutes at 18 seconds.

He finished nearly two minutes in front of Marty Hehir, second in 1:04:00.

Meseret Defar won the women's race 1:08:45. Jordan Hasay placed third in 1:10:41.

Rupp and Hasay are University of Oregon graduates who train with the Portland-based Nike Oregon Project.
