A few things ...
-- Galen Rupp rebounded decisively from an early exit in Boston to win Sunday's Prague Marathon.
The former University of Oregon star broke away from Ethiopian Sisay Lemma over the final four kilometers to finish with a winning time of 2 hours, 6 minutes, 07 seconds. It was a tour de force for Rupp and a personal record by more than three seconds.
It's the kind of result Rupp had hoped for from the April 16 Boston Marathon. But nasty weather -- 30-degree temperatures, driving rain, head wind -- triggered an asthma attack that forced him out of the race
Rupp told me last week the result in Boston left him disappointed and frustrated, because he felt he was ready for something special.
